WorldPop population on the H3 grid WorldPop Global 2 total population, binned to H3 resolution 8 cells, one column per year from 2015 to 2030. 45,662,722 cells cover every country WorldPop publishes. The source rasters are the 1 km constrained, UN-adjusted country GeoTIFFs of release R2025A, listed by the WorldPop STAC API. Each populated pixel is assigned to the H3 cell containing its centre and summed, so a cell on a border sums across the countries that cover it.
